A slightly nondescript jute rope is capable of twisting with the help of talented hands into an incredible basket with its own character. The smell of hemp yarn is somewhat specific, but quickly disappears. You can tie such a basket in about two hours, provided that we also have time to make the decor.

To create a jute basket we need:
  • - a two-liter plastic bottle (we will save nature from plastic by recycling it with the help of handmade ideas);
  • - thin jute rope;
  • - white cotton lace (1.5 meters);
  • - 2 wooden beads;
  • - thread;
  • - scissors;
  • - hook number 3,5;
  • - a thin needle;
  • - delicate fabric to trim the inside of the basket.

A jute basket is made like this:

1. Cut the plastic bottle so that the height of the resulting "glass" corresponds to the desired height of the future picture.

2. We start to knit our basket of jute. We make a ring. From it, you need to tie 14 columns with a crochet. This will be the first row. You should get a smooth circle.

3. Second row - 28 double crochet.

4. The third row - 41 of the same column. In order to make 41 out of 28 columns, it is necessary to knit two double crochet from each second column.

5. The next 2 rows - 49 single crochet.

6. In the sixth row and in all the following (approximately 22 rows) we knit 52 single crochet. We fix the thread when the jute basket is tied, insert a plastic glass inside the jute.

7. Measure the circumference of the basket. A little longer cut out a rectangle of fabric. From the same fabric we cut out a wide circle to form the bottom.

8. Sew the rectangle along the seam to make the “walls” of the fabric cup. Sew the bottom to these walls. We turn it on the front side, put it in a plastic cup.
9. Sew the fabric to the jute base with invisible seams.

10. From a cotton cord we knit a chain. We tie it over the place of attachment of the fabric tab. Sew the chain with invisible seams.
11. At the ends of the cotton chain we tie beads.

12. The little handmade jute basket is ready!
