Repeatedly it happened to me, standing in a store, looking at all kinds of lamps, sconces, lamps and nightlights ... Eyes were scattered from the variety of their colors, shapes and styles - just have time to buy and hang up in the rooms! But, when it came to choosing a specific wall lamp for the nursery, it turned out that everything was not so simple ... I decided to cope with the problem in the traditional way, namely: take paints and create something unique.
What is needed:
The most common round wall lamp, transparent or matt white
Water-based stained glass paints that do not require firing
Contours for painting glass
Brushes
Solvent
Cotton buds and discs
Jar of water
Simple pencil and eraser
The plot for the picture, you can choose what you like - a floral ornament, geometric abstraction, a fabulous picture. Since our lamp will illuminate the baby’s room, illustrations from favorite children's books will serve as a model for drawing on it.
Let's get started! First, thoroughly clean and degrease the surface of the lamp with a solvent. Then we draw sketch lines with a simple pencil, take a contour in our hands, and carefully draw a pencil sketch. The contour can be any color, black looks more clearly and contrast, and golden or bronze - more spectacular and elegant.
We try to squeeze out the contour evenly, from time to time rubbing the nose of the tube with a napkin. If suddenly the lines are smeared or simply do not like it - it does not matter, they are easy to remove with a cotton swab with solvent.
When the outline dries, remove the remnants of the pencil drawing with an eraser, dip the brush into a jar of paint and proceed to coloring. It should be remembered that brushes should be often rinsed in water and wiped with a napkin or cotton pad, and only then take a different color.
When painting the convex surface of the lamp, we must try to take the paint in small portions - otherwise it will drain sideways. The drip can be removed with a cotton swab. Gradually, the entire surface is covered with bright colors and takes on a finished look.
Our lamp does not need firing, leave it in the open air and wait for the paint to dry completely. Now you can attach it to a chosen place on the wall, wait for the evening, turn on the light - and give your baby a miracle.
