What you need to have
It is necessary to prepare a detergent with a surfactant, a sponge for washing dishes, paper towels and vegetable oil.
Carbon deposits
Rub thoroughly and abundantly with detergent.
Then rinse and rinse, wash the surface of the pan, use a sponge and detergent. Clean the dishes from dirt on all sides.
Rinse the pan under running water, remove not only dirt, but also washing liquid. This is a fairly aggressive chemical composition, when ingested it can cause allergies or serious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Heat the skillet on the stove until all moisture is removed.
Pour in 30-50 ml of vegetable oil and rub it over the entire inner surface with a paper towel. Do not leave gaps, rub the oil with force into all microcracks. It is in them that carbon deposits first form and food sticks.
If the cloth is dirty, then repeat the operation. Do this until carbon deposits disappear. Spread with lean oil again and wipe the surface.
Put the pan in the oven, turn it on to the maximum heating temperature. Leave the dishes in this condition for 40-50 minutes. Do not forget to turn on the exhaust fan at full power, otherwise unpleasant odors will appear in the room.
During this time, the vegetable oil will dry and a thin perfectly smooth layer will cover the bottom of the pan. Cooking food and fresh fat will not stagnate in microcracks, the intensity of their burning will significantly decrease.
Check the effect, you will be pleasantly surprised. Not only a steak, but also vegetables are perfectly cooked in a pan, and frying is done for the first dishes.
Cast Iron Pan Care
After each cooking, the pan is recommended not only to wash, but also to wipe with salt.
Its small particles remove carbon deposits from all small cracks. Then, the surface should again be greased with vegetable oil and dried on a stove. It is no longer necessary to put in the oven.
The method is effective only for not very dirty dishes. If the soot is old, then you need to use other methods to remove it.
