In this review, the author shows how to make a simple device for quick cleaning (peeling) of corn from grain.

The principle of operation of the device is quite simple: cleaning of corn occurs due to friction of the surface of the cob on the working elements located in the device body.

First of all, the author cuts off a piece of a round pipe of the desired length. Then, using a grinder, cuts out three rectangular "windows" in it.

One of the cut pieces is welded back to the pipe, but not directly, but with a loop.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, the author cuts a piece of sheet metal and drills holes in it. Then the workpiece will need to be fixed in the place where the second hole is cut.

After that, the master cuts off four pieces of reinforcement, which are used as support legs, and welds them to the body.

Next, the author welds to the bearings three pieces of steel round timber. Then they need to be welded at the ends of the pipe.

A piece of reinforcement with the working elements welded to it, segments of the chain, acts as a shaft.

This device can be made both mechanical and electrical. The author chose the second option - a screwdriver is used as a drive (a drill can be used).

At the last stage, it remains only to weld the plugs at the ends of the pipe and weld the receiving hopper.
