In this review, the author shows how a compact camping grill can be made from an old canister purchased at a metal receiver.
First of all, the canister will need to be cleaned of dirt and rust. To do this, you can use a petal disk or cord brush.
Further, the author makes the marking with a white marker, it is necessary to keep all stiffeners to the maximum.
With the help of a grinder, the master makes a cut. Then he fastens three loops on the screws and scalds them. After that, you can already cut through the lid to the end.
The main stages of work
From a sheet of metal 2 mm thick, the author cuts two strips 20 mm wide and welds them inside the canister.
The lid will rest on them (so as not to fall inward). After that, the author installs a metal latch.
The next step will require long and short bolts with washers and nuts. Some washers must be welded to the cap of the short bolts, others to the elongated nuts into which the long bolts are screwed.
The nuts must be welded to the bolts. As a result, we get four legs for a camping brazier. They need to be cleaned and then painted.
At the last stage of the work, the master once again cleans the canister and paints it with heat-resistant paint.
