In this review, the author shows in detail how to make a bird feeder with his own hands using improvised materials (in this case, young chickens).
As improvised materials, the master uses a small piece of slate and several pieces of board.
Such a homemade feeder is suitable for small and large poultry. Please note: the size of the feeder is 40 * 30 cm, but you can make a feeder of another size.
The main stages of work
The first step is to cut off a piece of slate measuring 30 * 40 cm (or the size you need). Then we cut out two side parts of the feeder from the board.
The sides are screwed to the slate for screws. First you need to drill holes in the slate. Then the author cuts off three bars and fastens them to the side parts.
Then it remains only to screw the legs to the bottom of the slate, and make a handle that is screwed to the side parts.
We cut two pieces of the board along the length of the feeder and drill four holes in them. Then we fix the boards to the feeder on the loop.
Thus, one feeder is designed in this case for eight birds. And what’s convenient - thanks to this design, they do not scatter feed around them.
