An ordinary concrete worktop can be transformed beyond recognition. And this does not require any design skills.
In this review, the author shows how to make a concrete worktop with an epoxy coating. The end result looks simply incomparable.
After the concrete countertop itself has already been poured and the entire formwork has been removed, it is necessary to polish the concrete, removing unevenness and chips on it.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, the surface and edge of the countertop will need to be painted with decorative paint, but concrete must be primed beforehand.
The author pours the paint over the entire surface, and then rolls it with a roller, achieving an even layer. By the way, the paint itself with a glossy tint.
The next day, it remains only to cover the countertop with a layer of epoxy. First, the author mixes the resin with the hardener.
In the same way as paint, the author pours epoxy on the surface, and then evenly distributes the resin with a spatula and roller.
After complete hardening of the epoxy resin, such beauty is obtained. You can’t even say that the countertop is made of ordinary concrete.
