In this review, the author shows how to use a regular silicone tablecloth and toilet paper to get a very beautiful and voluminous ornament on the wall or other surfaces.
Cement putty is used as a textured material. It can be diluted with water or, for greater ductility, add 10% PVA glue.
First of all, on a piece of hardboard (this is the material for the sample - you can use the wall or the facade of the furniture as the basis) with the help of a trowel, the author applies a layer of putty.
The main stages of work
Next, glue strips of toilet paper (or paper towels can be used) on a fresh layer of putty. Lightly roll the roller.
At the next stage, we apply a silicone tablecloth to the toilet paper and gently roll it with a rubber roller, slightly pressing it into the putty.
We wait 5-7 minutes, after which we remove the strip of toilet paper while they are still wet. If you do this when the putty is already dry, then tearing off the paper will be very difficult.
If you can’t tear off the toilet paper, moisten the kitchen sponge and just rinse it off with the smooth side.
At the last stage, it remains only to paint the textured surface. Here you can already experiment as much as you like.
