The coffee table has long established itself as an excellent piece of home decor. Let's try to make a table that can be quickly adjusted to the desired height.

It is made a little more complicated than ordinary wooden tables. To do this, you need square and rectangular pipes, various lumber (wooden boards and bars), a hairpin, various types of fittings (round timber) and a small number of tools.

According to the given drawings, we cut square pipes to create the base of the table. We saw it at an angle of 45 degrees and chamfer the corners, for a good welded joint.

We weld and clean the resulting frame. We carry out the same procedure with the legs of a rectangular pipe, according to a given drawing.

The main stages of work

We are preparing future wheel guides from round timber. We weld them to our frame. Next, proceed to the manufacture of countertops. We glue together parts of our shield with wood glue and clamp them with clamps.

In order to prevent bulging of the boards from tension, we lay a load on them. After drying, we trim the shield to the size of the base.

Pre-fabricate the future mechanism for raising and lowering a homemade table. Drill a hole in the elongated nut and cut a thread equal to the diameter of the stud. Set the swivel wheel to one side.

Next, we make the wheels of the bar. We mark the given diameters and saw them out with a band saw. We grind it on a suitable machine (whether it is a lathe, or using a drill). We drill holes with Forstner drills of various diameters, one to full depth, and the second to a quarter. Varnish.

We begin the assembly. We attach a frame to the bolted joints. Then install the wheels, the height adjustment mechanism. We fasten the countertop. We attach wheels.

Such a coffee table perfectly complements the interior of the house, apartment, home workshop and cottage. Details of its creation can be seen in this video.
