Sometimes you need to change the handle on the shovel or make a holder for chopping, but there is no suitable stick for the diameter at hand. It's a shame, but you have to put up with it. However, there is a simple solution to this problem - a home-made fixture, with which you can make the necessary number of blanks for garden tools.
Using this conductor, it will be possible to make round sticks of the required diameter with an accuracy of a millimeter. It is very convenient and practical, since holders of different thicknesses are used for different garden tools.
For the manufacture of this tool you will need two pieces of the corner, four bolts with a diameter of 8 mm, twelve nuts M8 and four steel plates. From the tool you will need a welding machine, a grinder and an electric drill.
The main stages of work
We cut out two identical pieces of the corner 35x35 mm, and then in each of them we make two oblique teeth that will “gnaw” the wooden workpiece, giving it a rounded shape. The ends of the incisors in both sections of the corner are bent a little outward.
In the next step, two plates will need to be welded to the edge of each corner. Next, in these plates we drill through holes at the edges for the bolts. On the inside of the corners, you need to make notches with a grinder or file.
