With intensive use, the saw blade wears out sooner or later, as a result of which it loses its former sharpness (in other words, it simply becomes dull), and is no longer able to "bite" the wood as well as before.
If you do not want to interrupt work for a long time, then in this case there is a simple way to sharpen a hacksaw on a tree. And this is very easy to do even at home "on the knee" (in the presence of an emery - grinding machine).
First of all, it is necessary to carry out the wiring of the saw teeth. In general, a special tool is intended for this, with which you can bend the teeth at the desired angle. At home, wiring a hacksaw on a tree can be easily done with an ordinary flat screwdriver.
The main stages of saw blade sharpening
Making a wiring with a flat screwdriver is quite simple. We insert the edge of the screwdriver between the teeth of the hacksaw on the tree, after which we unbend them to the sides with the same movements. We perform this operation on both sides of the hacksaw.
Please note that on a smaller tooth such a “focus” with a screwdriver will not work. After wiring, you can proceed to sharpen the teeth themselves. It is better to do this on a grinding machine by setting a diamond wheel with grain 100x80 on it. First we pass one side, then the other. When sharpening, all movements must be carried out extremely carefully.
