From empty glass bottles you can make various original crafts (coasters, vases, candlesticks, etc.). With this affordable material you can create your own truly original things.
The main difficulty lies in the fact that the bottles must be cut exactly along the entire circumference. However, this is easy to do with a simple bottle cutter made of bearings and a glass cutter.
As a base, you can use a plywood board. It will also require angles, bolts with nuts and screws. All these materials can almost always be found in a home workshop or garage. To make such a homemade bottle cutter is very simple.
The main stages of work
First of all, we cut a rectangular board of suitable sizes from the plywood sheet with a thickness of about 12-14 mm, which will act as the base. Mark four points on the surface (to make a rectangle with sides 13x7 cm), fasten the furniture corners in these places.
In total, you need to install three corners with holes in which we screw the bolt. We put the bearing on the bolt pin and tighten it with a nut. As a result, support rollers were obtained, on which a glass bottle will be supported during rotation.
Four screws should be screwed to the bottom of the base in the corners to raise it above the table surface. You can simply make small legs from scraps of plywood. At the last stage of work, we screw a self-tapping screw and put on it a block with a cutting roller from the self-tapping screw.
