How to make a bending machine: progress
First of all, with the help of a grinder or on a band saw, we cut the workpieces necessary for the manufacture of the machine. Then, three segments of a steel plate are welded to two wide strips of metal at approximately the same distance from each other. Then it is necessary to weld two corners to the plates.
At the next stage, the welded structural elements are welded vertically to the base of the bending machine - a rectangular steel plate. Then we cut two pieces of the corner with the sides 60x60 mm of the required size, drill in the middle of the hole, and then weld them to the base.
Assembly of the bench bending machine
A strip 2-3 mm thick is inserted between the corners, in which closer to the edge you need to drill a hole. These parts are connected to each other using a steel "finger", which can be made from a rod of suitable diameter.
Another metal strip is installed vertically between two racks and connected to the lower strip using rectangular plates, in which two holes must first be drilled. The connection should be movable.
A plate is attached to the vertical strip, to which a corner is welded.
