Using this home-made machine, you can quickly punch holes of different diameters in metal billets (for example, strips, sheet steel, etc.) with a thickness of 1.5-2 mm, as well as for pressing and pressing bearings in the gearbox of a power tool. The versatility of this mini-press lies in the possibility of using various nozzles with a diameter of 1.5-10 mm.
The main stages of work
For this homemade product you will need a conventional drill chuck, which can clamp drills with a diameter of 1.5-10 mm. In the back of the cam chuck, drill a hole and cut the M12 thread in increments of 1.25. Then, from the profile pipe 40x25 mm, it will be necessary to cut off by the grinder two identical segments 30 cm long and two 15 cm long.
From four segments of the pipe, we weld a small rectangular frame. To correctly and quickly set the angle to 90 degrees, it is convenient to use a magnetic corner. Then we wind the cam chuck from the electric drill onto the adapter pin (on one side, M12 thread is cut in increments of 1.25, and on the other, standard M14 thread).
The free end of a threaded rod with M14 thread must be connected to the bolt with the guide sleeve using an adapter washer. In the cap of the bolt we drill a hole with a diameter of 6 mm to attach a plate that will push the rod. Next, the frame is assembled, on which the working elements of the structure are then installed.
To summarize
After assembly, we got a universal mini-press made from improvised materials, which is useful in the home workshop and garage when performing various metal works. The advantage of this machine is the low cost of its manufacture. The detailed process of assembling the mini-press, see the video on the site.
