Christmas garland of salt dough

When there is very little left before the New Year, I want to bring this joyful moment a little closer. If you do not bring the New Year closer, then at least you can create a festive mood by decorating your home. And if you do the decoration yourself, then you can also have a good time, having fun.
I propose to mold a garland from salt dough that can be hung on a Christmas tree or on a wall.
To do this, you need to prepare a salt dough from which you can sculpt.
You can make it by mixing one part of fine salt, two parts of simple wheat flour and cold water. A glass of flour and half a glass of salt need about 125 ml of water. Water needs to be added little by little so that the mass is elastic-smooth, but not sticky.
Put the finished dough in a bag and place in the refrigerator if you are not going to sculpt immediately. When sculpting, take the dough little by little so that it does not wind off in the air. Blind what figures you want. I made Christmas trees, snowmen, stars, months, shoes.
After that, they need to make holes in which subsequently a thread will be threaded. Insert a toothpick or match into the hole. The hole should be slightly larger than a toothpick. After that, bake the figures in the oven. At the same time, the figures must be put in a cold oven so that the products heat up with it. Drying time depends on the size of the product. They dried me for 10-15 minutes.
In this case, the figures need to be turned so that they dry out evenly.
Then you need to decorate the figures with watercolor or gouache after they have cooled down. I did it this way.
After that, you need to string them on a string. I had gold, I used it. I strung several of the largest products on the main thread, and placed the rest on hanging threads at different levels. You can do as you like best.
