To make an imitation of a wooden surface on a wall with your own hands is not at all difficult. First of all, you need to give the wall surface the desired texture using tile glue and a decorative roller.

Thus we get a ready-made base that will need to be painted in the desired color. And note that you can make an imitation of both white and brown wood.

In this review, the author will tell you in detail how to paint the wall correctly, so that a realistic shade of the wooden surface is obtained.

Imitation white wood

First you need to prime the surface of the wall. After the primer has dried, apply a layer of white latex paint superficially, without completely covering the entire surface.

With this method of painting the surface, the texture of the tree will look more impressive. Therefore, the author advises doing just that.

At the next stage, take a deep penetration primer and add a black color to it, stir well.

After that, we cover the surface of the wall with a brush, in the same way as in the first case - in places. All white paint does not need to be overlapped, only partially.

Brown wood imitation

First of all, it is necessary to do the same steps as in the previous case. After that, you need to prepare a tinted primer. To do this, you need a primer and color to your desired color (for example, brown).

The only difference is that in this case we paint over the entire surface completely. After drying, we cover the surface with acrylic matte varnish.

Then it remains only to highlight the edges of the boards with a dark color. The end result is a very realistic picture that imitates the natural shade of a tree.
