If you have free time and the necessary tools, you can do it yourself with a simple universal clamp with the ability to adjust the grip length.
Of the basic materials for making a home-made clamp, pieces of a profile of different sizes, rectangular plates (clamping jaws), a long bolt with nuts, which will be used as a screw, and a bolt for fixing the movable stop will be required.
The main stages of work
First of all, it is necessary to cut the profile pipes in size (one workpiece should be long, the other two should be short), and also cut pieces of sheet metal with a thickness of 4-5 mm rectangular with the help of a grinder - clamping jaws of a homemade clamp.
Next, mark the surface of the base and drill holes to fix the movable sponge, with which you can adjust the length of the grip.
At the next stage, we weld a rectangular plate to the movable section of the profile, and the second short piece of the profile pipe must be welded to the end of the clamp frame.
Then we weld two nuts to the fixed section of the profile, into which the bolt is screwed - it abuts against the clamping sponge from the plate. To the head of the bolt you need to weld the knob from the segment of the stud or steel round timber.
